Went to this pub just before the second lockdown. Was down for a weekend with my wife on a staycation and we came here on the Friday that we arrived. We had such a good time that we had to come here again on the Saturday of our stay. Could not complain about one thing, staff were very friendly and helpful, atmosphere was nice and we were very impressed at how they followed Covid guidelines. Every table was well spaced out, we were at least 2 metres from the table next to us, all the staff wore masks and everyone was asked politely at the door to sanitise on entry and regularly sanitise while on the premises and to wear your mask if you were leaving your table at any time. Have to say we were sorry we weren’t able to stay another night. Looking forward to returning when the restrictions are finally lifted but god knows when that will be!

We visited Peddler Macs on our short break away and we were extremely impressed. The staff were friendly and all following protocols during these strange times of COVID19. Would highly recommend a visit to this pub if in Athlone, all in all 5 stars

Following covid guidelines ? I think not . when Athlone goes back into lockdown look at this Pubs as one of the reasons why... most Saturday nights i have seen over 50 people not wearing masks ,drinking heavily with no food, social distancing is a myth. Surprised fines have not Been issued Wouldn’t recommend,

Myself & Partner were down on the boats for a week- we ended up staying two nights in Athlone and both nights we spent here. Really great staff & adherence to the guidelines. Sanitised hands on arrival names taken & tables really well spaced apart but most of all made feel really welcome & relaxed which was really nice. Cocktails & food were 5 stars. Alot of pubs could follow in there lead with teaming up with small food businesses to overcome the hurdle of not being able to open. Overall really well done lads & best wishes for the future!

Pub is nice and lively. Food they are serving is awful and overpriced. The locals were treated differently than the tourists. Left there feeling duped
